Notion for worldbuilding

Fable Tracker and Notion

A flexible workspace for notes, databases and documents.

What Notion is

Notion is a general workspace that many people shape into a worldbuilding wiki with databases and pages. It is very flexible, and you decide the structure.

Fable Tracker is a private writing studio and lore wiki for novelists and worldbuilders. You draft chapters, build your world’s history, and link the two together.

Ready for fiction on day one

Lore entry types, a timeline with your own calendar and eras, maps with pins, a relationship graph and a family tree are there from the start, with nothing to build or maintain.

Writing and lore in one flow

Write a chapter and link to your lore as you go; see backlinks and where each name appears.

Plain files out

Everything exports as Markdown, Word or EPUB.

When Notion may suit you better

  • You want a fully custom workspace that also holds work, planning and other projects.
  • You enjoy designing your own databases and templates.

Moving over, or trying both

Fable Tracker imports Markdown, plain text and Word (.docx) files for chapters, and exports everything as plain files, Word and EPUB, so moving never locks you in.

Writing, lore and export are free, and paid plans only add capacity. See the plans.
